Open Hearts

Presented by Musikhuset Aarhus

In 2017, Open Hearts, Susanne Bier’s tragic and heart-breaking love story about a man who is paralysed, will be transformed into a contemporary dance performance. Creating a dance performance about a paralysed man seems impossible at first, but the storyline becomes an artistic challenge and limitation that forces the choreographer and director to rethink dancing.

Choreographer Marie Brolin-Tani is in charge when Musikhuset Aarhus and Black Box Dance Company transform the film into a breathtaking dance show. The music for Open Hearts is delivered by singer-songwriter Pernille Rosendahl, who will perform the songs live on stage when Marie Brolin-Tani and the talented young dancers from Black Box Dance Company take to the stage in the Rhythmic Hall.
