Facilities for people with disabilities
The official opening of European Capital of Culture Aarhus 2017 on Saturday 21 January 2017 is accessible for people with walking disabilities. The areas along the route have level-free access with an even and stable surface.

Transport
Disabled cars and lift buses have access to the city centre until 16:00 and after 23:00. Please note that from 16:00 to 23:00, there will be a car-free zone in Aarhus city centre.

Parking
Parking spaces for disabled cars are available all day in the car park by Christiansgade near ARoS, in Filmbyen, and in Bruuns Galleri.

Dropping off
There are drop-off spaces near the two wheelchair spaces: at Vester Allé / Åboulevarden for spaces near the City Hall / Musikhusparken, and in Sydhavnsgade at Mindet for spaces by the harbour at Mellemarmen.

Wheelchair spaces
Wheelchair spaces have been established close to the procession and the artistic activities at Rådhusparken and by the harbour at Mindet.

Toilets
Disabled toilets are available at Musikhusparken, Aarhus Railway Station and by the harbour at Mindet.

Taxi
In connection with the car-free zone from 16:00 to 23:00, please refer to the taxistands at Bispetorvet and the temporary taxistand in Sydhavnsgade.

Information
VisitAarhus and Aarhus 2017 have set up information booths at the City Hall, the Railway Station, the Bus Station and by the Harbour.
