RADAR: OATHBREAKER + BERSÆRK + MØL

Radar is transformed into a dark, gloomy and mythical design by the artist Jon Gotlev aka No Heroes from Aarhus. Here, organic materials, sun, moon, light and darkness are central parts of the visual setting. The bands will be performing at Radar’s 360° stage and thus room, light and sound all take part in creating an entirety which surround both bands and audience.

Expect nothing less than a transformed venue, dark and internationally outstanding music as well as two of Aarhus’ most original metal bands BERSÆRK and Møl.

Oathbreaker
With last year’s release ‘Rheia’, Oathbreaker asserted themselves as some of today’s most controversial and original artists on the post-black metal and hardcore stage. In the lead, the singer Caro Tenghe both aggressively and introvertly confronts the audience with effortless shifts between fragile singing, primal screams and deep growl. The band works with attention to detail and the varying melodious passages, grind, blasts and hard breakdowns that are typical to the hardcore genre surround a personal text universe relevant to us all as it revolves around being human.

Bersærk
“Bersærk screams its audience to life and takes them back to the time, where a man was a man, a woman was ready to fight, and Bersærk (in English: berserk) was something you went in solidarity.” With the debut ‘Mulm’ from 2015, Bersærk resuscitated the Danish-speaking stoner rock and suddenly made it more relevant than ever. Lyrical instruments in mythical tales and heathen symbols manifest the band in a heavy, firm and insisting musical universe with the Nordic sound as its primary nerve.

Bersærk are known for their energetic and captivating live shows and the band has played among others at Copenhell and Roskilde Festival in 2016 as well as supporting bands as Red Fang and Eyehategod.

Møl
Møl won the award for Best Upcoming Band at High Voltage Awards in 2016 and was by Gaffa Magazine elected as one of the best concert experiences during SPOT Festival 2016. On its two EP releases, Møl shows great originality by combining swirling guitars and hissing vocals with dreamy and epic sound surfaces. A unique mixture of soundscapes and crushing passages awaits when the night opens with one of the most hard-hitting artists from the metal underground in Aarhus.

No Heroes X Jon Gotlev
On this special night, Radar is surrounded by a visual design by the artist No Heroes X Jon Gotlev. Based on natural phenomenons, visual movements seen in relation to solar and lunar eclipse and the contrast between light and darkness are incorporated as leading elements in projections as well as the physical installations of the room.
