Mono: Rock The Region Legacy Show 2017

In the early months of 2017, six artists were chosen amongst 100 applicants for a process which would push them further towards a breakthrough. They all have the talent, the music and the ambitions, but it takes more than that to make it. The music industry is a jungle and the road to your ears, dear music fan, is long and crooked.

Take a look at the tour, SPOT Festival and everything else that took place in the spring here.

In ’Rock The Region Legacy Show 2017’ we meet the six artist six months after we left them at SPOT Festival where they delivered a magical evening of concerts. Since then, some of them have signed contracts with record companies and management, others have been on intense festival tours during the summer and a few of them are in the process of redefining themselves. Whoever they are now you will see them being brutally honest on stage this night.

Experience short and intense concerts, videoclips and tales of the road towards the spotlight.

Rock The Region is a project created to explore and support the pool of talent in the Central Jutland. The purpose is to connect music communities, music professionals and talented musicians in a constructive creative network. Rock The Region is created in a partnership between six music communities in Skive, Horsens, Holstebro, Herning, Silkeborg and Aarhus. The project also collaborates with Promus – The Music Network in Aarhus, SPOT Festival, DMF and especially, on this December night at Atlas, with Fonden Voxhall.

Line-up:

From 20.00 - 23.00

Facaden
Facaden is a productive rapper from Silkeborg who is now based in Aarhus. Three EPs have so far seen the daylight and in the spring of 2017 the debut album “Smøger, Sex and Coffee” was released. The expression is based on honest, self exposing and affecting texts that focus on lyrical performance and are powerfully delivered live with the assistance of a three-man band.

Ryan Egmont
The musical torch that the band Ryan Egmont carries is fired by the original singer/songwriters of music history. With a songwriting based on Americana, folk and pop the final product is a kind of Nordic folk with a never-failing ear for a catchy chorus.

King Kross
Gloomy, dark melancholia characterizes the songwriter King Kross from Horsens. The mythological sci-fi punk is a strong actor on the Danish underground stage and has with his deep psychotic undertones created an electronic rock and society-critical universe and declared himself the prince of darkness.

We Need Lilo
We Need Lilo is an ambitious rock band with big gestures and dreams for the future. Singer and songwriter Katrine Duus lifts the group towards new heights with her charismatic and flamboyant voice. Words like pompous, grandiose and original describe the quintet quite well.

Rasmus Trinderup
Rasmus Trinderup delivers alternative Nordic pop with inspiration from both the acoustic and electronic universe. You Work For Me Now
You will be moved once you walk away from a concert with You Work For Me Now. With few means the band induces big feelings. Even though they are really rock musicians, they basically play melodious intelligent pop which speaks to both the teenage heart and the adult brain.
