About RR 2017 - Rethink Reformation

FULL MOON EVENT
Presented by Aarhus University, Aarhus Cathedral and Folkeuniversitetet in Aarhus

On October 31 in 1517, a frustrated young man made his way to the cathedral in Wittenberg and nailed a piece of paper to the church door. The paper presented 95 theses that would revolutionize Europe. Martin Luther was many things: a monk, a student and a husband, but first and foremost he was a rebel who expressed a need for change. To mark the 500th anniversary of the Wittenberg theses, we invite you to follow in his footsteps.

In October 2017, we will create a series of events which will introduce you to the Reformation of the past in order to help you reform the present through talks, theatre, music, debate, church events and research. Inspired by Luther’s rethinking of everything from the body to the State, liberty, economics and gender, we challenge you to imagine the new world of tomorrow.
