The Reformation in the Flesh

An Aarhus 2017 Festival Event
Presented by The European Medieval Festival

500 years ago, Martin Luther nailed ninety-five theses to a church door in Wittenberg, Germany – an event that marked the beginning of the Reformation. The European Medieval Festival in Horsens will commemorate the anniversary with a theatrical performance entitled The Reformation In The Flesh.

The performance will be a strong visual spectacle that will transport audiences to a medieval conceptual universe.

To this end, the festival has sought the aid of some highly respected talent in Danish theatre: dramatist Jokum Rohde and award-winning scenographers Torden & Lynild.

The Reformation universe will come to life with the help of talented local actors from Komediehuset to ensure an experience out of the ordinary.

The performance is sponsored by: Aarhus 2017, Augustinusfonden, Insero Horsens, Folketingets Pulje and Dronning Margrethes og Prins Henriks Fond.
