Oh Land to be part of Watermusic in Randers

The gigantic and magical Full Moon Event ’Watermusic’ will take place in Randers next year. The show will feature international star Oh Land as both composer and performer.

Over two days in September 2017, 'Watermusic' will star more than 600 people in a sea of advanced light effects and 3D projections. Internationally renowned performer Oh Land - known for hit songs such as 'White Nights', 'Speak Out Now', 'Renaissance Girls' and 'Head up High' - will compose and perform new material, made exclusively for 'Watermusic'.

Oh Land stars as The Queen of the Ocean, and her music will be performed together with a 350 people big choir from Korby Randers. Taking place at Randers Harbour, 'Watermusic' also presents malicious sea creatures from the deep ocean, circus artists taking our breath away with mind-blowing acrobatics and boats "dancing" on the surface of the sea.

Strong artistic team
Besides Oh Land, another member of the artistic team behind 'Watermusic' is British dance company Motionhouse. The company is lead by British director Kevin Finnan, who was behind the choreography at the Opening of The Paralympic Games in London 2012.

The director visited Randers in August 2016 to test parts of the monumental music dramatic performance.

'Watermusic' is supported by European Capital of Culture Aarhus 2017 and is one of 12 Full Moon Events in the official programme of the Capital of Culture year. The spectacular show will be the biggest outdoor event to ever take place in Randers.
