European Capital of Culture supports new project at Northside Festival

NorthSide has partnered with Digital Footprints Research Group at the University of Aarhus to analyze this year's social media use.

The project consists of a larger and more detailed view of what content guests share during the festival on various social media platforms, what they prefer to watch on social media and whether they use hashtags. The project is a rethinkIMPACTS 2017 project and is therefore included in the cooperation between Aarhus 2017 and Aarhus University to create knowledge about the meaning and effects of culture.

8 researchers from the group will be present at the site wearing Aarhus University Jerseys. They are looking for festival participants, who will provide the data (instagram and facebook) to the project and participate in a brief interview at the festival site on Saturday or Sunday. All data from interviews are anonymised in the final reports.
