Aarhus Alternatives Festival

How important is the human really? A new festival about Science, Arts and Spirits asks that exact question to a Professor, a Priest and a Poet.

The festival is called Aarhus Alternatives Festival and is part of the initiative Rethink Human Being. The Priest is P.H. Bartholin - Dean in Aarhus Domkirke; the Professor is quantum physicist Klaus Mølmer and the Poet is Peter Laugesen. Together the three gentlemen will write a speech centering around the big question: "How important is the human really?"

They will perform the speech in unison at Aarhus Alternatives Festival 7.-9. of November. The concept goes under the name "3 in 1 - speech to The Nation" and will be a recurring event at the festival, where a new trio, a new speech and a new question is presented each day.

Aarhus Alternatives Festival seeks to rethink the festival format by mixing form and content from different professional environments, thus developing new concepts for communicating and experiencing.

The format will be a mix of:
- conferences (presentations, debates, dialogue and more)
- Multi-art festival (concerts, performances and more)
- workshops for body & mind (joint running classes, yoga, mindfulness and more)

So far only some of the programme is final. This includes a show with the dancer Kitt Johnson, debates on rethinking the Economy, a concert with a quartet from Aarhus Symphony Orchestra and workshops in mindfulness.
