Open Days at the flexible, mobile and autism friendly living concept AT HOME!
What is AT Home?
AT Home is a flexible, mobile living concept for people with autism. AT Home is housing, where the citizen can feel at ease in known surroundings, all while being a part of a community.
Why AT Home?
We have experienced, that the existing housing offers do not always enhance well being, development and change for people with autism.
We consider AT Home as one way of rethinking the physical surroundings. One step on the way to exploring how people with autism can live a more independent life in a more inclusive society, where everybody lives side by side.
What are the special characteristics of AT Home?
- Functions as independent housing, as a part of a cluster or as a part of a special accommodation service.
- Is flexible in size and placement and is available both as a sing room and double room housing, depending on the users wishes and needs.
- Is designed with specific considerations for autism friendly architecture
- Is environmentally sustainable
AT Home - a part of Aarhus 2017
AT Home is a part of the official European Capital of Culture Aarhus 2017 programme under the title "Design for Diversity". Throughout 2017, we will continue to develop the housing concept and contribute to the debate about, how we can create a society, where we can live side by side.
