Anohni: Future Feminism

Dogme #1 „Die Unterwerfung von Frauen und der Erde ist ein und dasselbe“.

Im Jahre 2014 arrangierte ein New Yorker Künstlerkollektiv aus fünf Mitgliedern eine Ausstellung und ein 13-tägiges Performancefestival in der Hole Gallery in New York City. Daraufhin stellten Anohni, Kembra Phaler, Johanna Constantine, Bianca Hunter und Sierra Cassady „13 Dogmen für den Feminismus der Zukunft vor“.

Die Ideen hinter Future Feminism basieren auf antiker Philosophie, Feminismus und Ökologie. Die 13 Dogmen sind als Provokation gedacht. Gleichzeitig sind sie eine Aufforderung, ein stärkeres kollektives feminines Bewusstsein zu entwickeln, welches uns dabei helfen soll, unser Verhalten als Menschheit neu zu organisieren und die Welt zu retten. Dogme #13 „Die Zukunft ist weiblich“ ist eine Aussage, die u.a. in einer Rede von Hillary Clinton wiederholt wurde. Während der Ausstellung in Aarhus werden die drei Künstlerinnen 13 großartige Werke präsentieren und Gastgeber einer Reihe von Workshops und Events sein.
